Mike Weir Wine has announced changes and new business partnerships for the winery, wine production and vintner. Wine production for Mike Weir Wine will be taken over by Chateau des Charmes in St. David's, a pioneer and leader in the Niagara wine industry.
A second partnership with the Niagara Parks Commission includes the construction of the Mike Weir Winery, wine retail & hospitality centre, food & beverage components, the planting of vineyards, a Mike Weir gallery, and a production facility on a parcel of land adjacent to the Whirlpool GC.
Launched in 2005, Mike Weir Wine has grown quickly, annually selling 30 000 cases of wine across the country. Net proceeds from wines sales benefit the Mike Weir Foundation - a program addressing the physical, educational & emotional needs of Canadian children.
